The BCR401/BCR402 serve as an easy to use, cost-efficient constant curent sources for driving low power LED’s. Output current is adjustable up to 65mA with an external resistor. Current may be also extended with addition of suitable external transistor („booster”). Low voltage drop minimizes energy losses. The drivers have a negative temperature coefficient – as the LED driver IC gets warmer, it gradually reduces output current, helping to protect LEDs against thermal overload.
