The ATTINY13A-SSU is an 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller. It features a 32B register and a 4-channel, 10-bit A/D converter. The chip achieves up to 20MIPS throughput at 20Mhz (for 1. 8V to 5. 5V values). By executing instructions in a single clock cycle, this ATtiny13A achieves throughputs as high as 1MIPS per MHz, allowing power consumption to be optimized with respect to processing speed. The AVR core is a combination of a rich instruction set and 32 general-purpose registers. All 32 registers are directly connected to the arithmetic logic unit (ALU), allowing access to two independent registers in a single instruction executed in a single clock cycle. The resulting architecture is more code efficient, achieving throughput up to 10x faster than conventional CISC microcontrollers.
