*Driver IC is a separate low-power power supply tailored to the operating parameters of the LEDs. A properly selected driver IC prevents the bulb from overheating.
Another type of power supply used in LEDs is the RC driver, a very simple and inexpensive power supply consisting of a bridge, resistors, and capacitors. However, the use of this type of driver is very limited due to the significant heating of the internal resistors and, therefore, the entire bulb. It is well known that elevated LED temperatures reduce their lifespan, and most LED failures result from overheating. It is therefore extremely important to choose lighting with the appropriate type of power supply.
ATTENTION!
Cheap LED bulbs with RC drivers instead of IC drivers are offered in Poland. RC drivers do not protect the bulb from overheating as effectively as IC drivers.
