*Driver IC
*Driver IC is a separate low-power power supply adapted to the lighting parameters of the LEDs. A properly selected IC driver prevents the bulb from overheating.
Another type of power supply used in LEDs is the RC driver, a very simple and inexpensive driver consisting of a bridge, resistors, and capacitors. However, the use of this type of driver is very limited due to the significant heating of internal resistors and thus the entire bulb. It is well known that elevated LED temperatures reduce their lifespan, and most bulb failures result from overheating. Therefore, it is extremely important to choose lighting with the appropriate type of power supply.
WARNING!
Cheap LED bulbs with RC drivers are offered in Poland instead of IC drivers. The RC driver does not protect the bulb from overheating as effectively as the IC driver.
