Operating principle – successive approximation method:
- capture and store the instantaneous voltage value in the Sample and Hold circuit;
- compare the output voltage of the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with the input voltage;
- store the comparison result in the successive approximation register (SAR);
- output the bits in serial form;
- Control Logic – initiates and ends the conversion process;
- communication with the external world – through the SPI serial interface.
