A power switch – in terms of integrated circuits – is an advanced component that goes beyond the function of a simple current switch. It forms the foundation for safe and efficient power distribution to individual modules. What are power switches and what are they used for?
Power distribution circuits in this category are monolithic components integrating a power transistor with advanced control and diagnostic logic. How do power switches work?

- Current monitoring – built-in IC overcurrent protections continuously measure the output current. If the current exceeds the set limit, the circuit operates in current-limiting mode or shuts down immediately, protecting the system.

What to consider when choosing the right power switch?
