The signal is then passed to an integrated circuit, where it is adapted to the processor's capabilities, and the infrared receiver sends the signal to it. This results in the desired reaction.

Selecting the Right Receivers – Parameters

Individual infrared receivers vary significantly in terms of parameters. An IR receiver must be perfectly matched to the transmitter in this respect. Even slight differences in wavelength can prevent the infrared system from functioning efficiently. Therefore, using alternative receivers is usually not possible. For example, the HFBR-2506AMZ model by Broadcom in our offer, which receives a wavelength of 650nm, cannot be interchangeably used with the equally high-quality IS471FE model by Sharp, which receives a wavelength of 940 nm.
